Happy Birthday Connor!

Wow, it's been a year already! Where has the time gone? This has been my busiest year yet but full of many memories. Connor is such a joy and fits into our family so well. He's very layed back and never fussy. We joke that he wasn't walking because someone is always holding him...and he seems perfectly content on our lap! He did start taking a couple steps this week though! Yay!

We waited all afternoon for him to wake up from his nap so we could give him his gifts. He was pretty low-keyed about it all. He got some short outfits, pj's, plastic peek-a-boo blocks, a squishy stuffed dog, bath tub toys, baby remote control, walking toy, and a new copy of 'Goodnight Moon' (our old book lost it's cover and binding - well loved I'd say!). He played with his toys for a while then ended up taking another nap! We had to wait until 8:00, when he woke up, to have cake! At first, he kind of grabbed a chunk of cake then preceded to tear it into pieces and dump it off his plate onto his tray. I finally gave him a little piece to taste and he had a couple more bites before he started spreading it all across the tray and onto the floor. Nice! I think he had enough. Btw, Katie baked his cake all on her own and she and Steph had a blast decorating it.
